Over the centuries, nature has sculpted the trunks of olive trees on the island of Mallorca, transforming them into genuine works of art: natural art-forms that are unique to the world.
Part of island life also revolves around olive trees and their produce, Mallorcan olive oil. Mallorcan olive oil has kept olive groves alive, leading to the creation of olive oil mills (tafones) that are now museum pieces and infusing dishes with a unique, highly distinctive flavour.
The OLIVE OIL TOURISM IN MALLORCA. THE ART OF NATURE initiative was created in order to introduce visitors to all these pleasures. It comprises a series of highly original activities that allow visitors to discover Mallorca's magical olive groves and the produce that is made with their olives, Mallorcan olive oil.
