Description

Castell Miquel wine estate is owned by German pharmacist Michael Popp, whose vision it is to cultivate grapes using scientific principles, to vinify them and produce a wine which is unique, both from the point of view of its taste as well as its health-giving properties.

He has invested in land and soil, in modern technology, in the best vines, in a production and bottling plant, and in expertise. In the middle of the vineyards is a steep slope, the only one of its kind on the island, on which the red grape varieties Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon have been planted.

The wines produced are powerful, with long ageing potential, good tannin structure and an elegant bouquet covering a spectrum of aromas, from subtle hints of vanilla, blackcurrants and figs through to a touch of exotic spices.
